While the illustrations and idea of this book are wonderful, it disappointed me. I think this whole book is 2 sentences spread over all the pages. My 4 yr old son was bored. I think 4 yr olds are the ones who can start understanding the "tough guys have feelings" idea but when the book has 3 words on each page, it doesn't deliver and misses the opportunity. Bummer.
This book is fantastic! It doesn’t only break down the stereotypes of guys being tough and not having emotions, it also opens up some dialog. My kids noticed all kinds of things in the background (like why each guy was sad) and we spent a good thirty minutes reading though this book the first time. I am very pleased with this addition to our library, and I plan to gift it to several friends!
Overpriced waste if money no story one line per page doesn't explain feelings like in the title total RIP off
Love this book! We received it from a friend for our son and now will be buying it for every little boy we know 🙂Edit: the last 2 copies I have purchased have had finger prints and dirty sticky stuff on the covers. Since they were gifts, this was pretty disappointing.

Great for introducing children to the not so pleasant emotions.
Loved the quality of the book, but extremely disappointed that all the superheroes featured in the book are all sad and the story never comes full circle. Wanted to give this to my nephew, but am too afraid it will not get the empowering message across, because he would just fixate on the pictures of just sad men. Really wish that is book would have included all feelings. Had to return this book!
